Crush! :
teen-magazine
At Wdka I have learned to connect the product that you are making to yourself. You can only talk out of your own experiences. For picking a target group it is important to do well research. You need to impersonate. We choose our younger selves but in a 2020 world. Because we think we have missed a lot of examples and information to be more aware of our position in society and be more aware of our privileges and to do something good with it. That's why we have made a teen-magazine named Crush! with the main subject privilege to give information in an approachable and fun way like they are used to in magazines.

Sem 4
SEP 2020/DEC 2020
We worked in a group of four and we all had very different backgrounds and majors. Due to Covid-19 we never had the chance to physically meet. But we still found a subject where we all could tell about in our own way. I made pages about how to be an ally, how to convert your white privilege into something good. But also fashion brands that are truly inclusive and have a meaning to their clothing and maybe even a community.

Technically I have put the whole magazine together and made the frontpage. In this project my role was the one who made the conclusions and made the last details fine. And to put some joy in the project.
First time writing an essay was quite challenging, mostly because we didn’t have a clear assignment. Embodied knowledge was the main subject and we had to find something personal. This made me realise to always talk out of your own position, otherwise the reason to believe is hard to find. I always felt really bad about injustice and stood up for it. Now I now way better how to do that and why I want to do it. Thanks to this essay I know my role in society and know what to do to make the world a little better: speak up and talk to/learn the people in my bubble.
